Christian women in the medieval world of Spain, Sicily, Egypt, North Africa, and the Levant wore henna, and felt it was suitable adornment for the celebration of Christmas. Islamic culture, with its advanced understanding of science, mathematics, medicine and literature, including women’s use of henna, was part of a prosperous and enlightened culture in southern Europe after the fall of the Roman Empire and before the Crusades.

Henna Root Touch Up
Maria is using the Ancient Sunrise Henna for Hair Red Kit, which contains Monsoon Henna and Copperberry fruit acid on her roots. The carrot bag that comes in the kit is being used to apply the henna paste. Throughout the video, you may see some of the grays in Maria's hair, especially on the hairline. Her natural hair level is a level 7.

Elektra - I use a mix of henna and a mildly acidic mix to make henna paste, and wait for dye release and mix in 20 to 50grams of indigo (depends on mood, i like those irregular blackish streaks).
